SUNDAY MORNING DESIGNS

It was in Mildura at a great little shop called Fine and Sunny that I first came across the gorgeous kids doona and pillow case sets from Sunday Morning Designs.
I couldn't resist and snapped some up straight away, the boys have been loving them ever since.

Sunday Morning Designs was born in 2007 and is made and based in Melbourne. It is the work of Lichen Kemp and Jitske Wiersma.

The illustrations are by artist  Dylan Martorell.  The detail and fairytale like quality have a whimsical magic that gets the kids imaginations working.
I also just love the jersey feel of the 100% baby combed cotton fabric.

Sustainable production methods are employed wherever possible, using local materials, eco inks, recycled papers and vintage fabrics.

They also have kids clothes, accessories, gift cards and more.
Super cute, original, quality and all Australian.
 Love it!

MR SHRUNK

I'm always excited to come across labels that I like doing shrunk down versions of their collections. This especially applies to the little dudes where the pickings can be great, but slim.

Amsterdam label Scotch and Soda have literally done just that, with the Scotch Shrunk range.
So far I'm loving it!

Mr Shrunk for the boys and Fancy R'belle for the girls will be available online in Australia early August.

ANNIEL SHOES

Italians rock it when it comes to quality and craftmanship and these babies need to be rockin' it on your tootsie's asap.
Anniel shoes are a family run business in Venice, around since 1976. Predominately a ballet slipper until 2000 when they came alive with colour and sparkle and became a big hit in Japan.
Perfect in winter to brighten up the end of your leggings, super cute on your little mini me's too!
Get them here!

WILDFOX KIDS

I'm a bit of a fan of all things LA at the moment so I was just a bit excited when I spotted LA based  Wildfox now has a kids line.

Violet Hume is the daughter of model Kristy Hume and muso Donovan Leitch and is just gorgeous in these divine shots by Kimberly Gordon who is the creative force behind Wildfox.
I am increasingly obsessed by how amazing this woman is, I really don't think she could get any cooler!

I love love love the whole vibe - check out more of her work here

THESE ROCK

TATTLY TATTOOS

My lovely friend Kata from the gorgeous online stationary boutique Raven and Lamb (click here) put me onto these very fantastic temporary tattoos for kids and kids at heart. Toxic free with  a design vibe they are definitely a lot hipper than the usual choice of kids temporary art and are designed by a stellar line up of artists and designers. When I showed my 8 year old son Jude he suggested they where fully sick, epic and awesome and I agree!

SERIOUS LOVE FOR THESE TWO BOOKS

Our boys where given these two books by a very dear friend of ours last year . They are my number one go to books when the boys (and us) need reminding to be grateful, thankful and awesome!

Inspired by the idea of being thankful for all that you have, An Awesome Book of Thanks! is a beautifully written, fantastically illustrated walk through a world of magical unicorns, robotic dinosaurs, and all of life's simple moments, great and small. Crafted for children ages 0-1000, this timeless story is sure to be an instant classic, at home in the hands of anyone looking for the perfect reminder of just how beautiful life can be.

DALLAS CLAYTON
My name is Dallas Clayton. I write kids' books. When I was a kid I dreamt about travelling around the world meeting new people every day, having amazing experiences and sharing the stories from those experiences with other new people. That's pretty much what I do now. When I am not doing that, I am writing, drawing, having my mind blown by my seven-year-old child, or jumping into a large body of water. When I am not writing for children, I am writing for adults and the companies that adults run, drawing pictures for adults and reading things out loud to a crowd of strangers. I love strangers.
