THE PARTY

I've been wanting to watch this classic for a while and I'm thinking this weekend might be the time to scratch that itch.

The Party is one of my all time favourites and it's been a while since I last gave it an outing from the dvd shop, I probably just need to buy it!

It's the rituals of settling in with a treasured classic that I love, the trackies, the munchies, the comfort of knowing in advance that a belly laugh is a sure thing.

That feeling that it's been a bit too long and you can't wait to reunite like old friends. As the opening scene unfolds it's like a dream you've had before where the feelings are familiar, the details are fuzzy but still warm.

One of my very favourite things about this movie is how simple it is. Peter Sellers is a comic genius and the improvised slapstick comedy is fabulously old school.
The interior design and decorating is bang on amazing, I'd happily move in tomorrow and not change a thing.

Sydney's The Ivy is heavily influenced by the house in The Party and the interior design throughout this entire movie is incredibly cool and contemporary.
Love it!
